Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Republican Leader John L. Mica and Aviation Subcommittee Ranking Member Tom Petri have requested a hearing to examine the issue of aircraft icing and steps being taken to address this issue. While it's not clear whether icing played a significant role in some recent aviation accidents, icing continues to be a serious safety concern.
