The Committee and Subcommittee Ranking Members sent this letter to Chairman Oberstar urging the Committee to assert its jurisdictional authority to provisions of the Waxman-Markey cap-and-trade legislation quickly making its way through the House of Representatives. Only one of nine House committees is expected to act upon its jurisdiction over this far-ranging, job-killing, massive tax increase.
